Thematic S.A.E.K. Egaleo is one of the Public Institutes of Vocational Training (D.I.E.K. – old name) in the west side area of Athens, called Aigaleo (Egaleo). The students of the S.A.E.K. are high school graduates, ages 18+ as well as adults who wants to get a Vocational Training. S.A.E.K. Egaleo is the oldest Institute of Vocational Training in Greece, established in 1992 and is one of the biggest in Athens. Thematic S.A.E.K. Egaleo has experience in project management, partnership establishment, trainers & traineess encouragement/motivation, embedding digital technologies into teaching. It has participated as coordinator or partner to European projects, Erasmus+ KA1 mobility projects, Erasmus+ KA2 Small scale partnerships, Erasmus+ KA3 Support to Policy Development and Cooperation , and projects for the development of Centers of Vocational Excellence.

The Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) is the 3rd oldest university in Greece. Since 1920, it contributes consistently and continuously to Greek and European primary sector development, by conducting basic and applied research in agricultural related sciences. AUA conducts the 1/3 of agricultural research in Greece and its funding schemes come from the private sector as well EU and Greek research projects. The University is situated on a green campus that straddles close to the Acropolis, at the heart of the ancient Olive Grove. During the last 4 years AUA has participated, as a leader or partner, in more than 53 EU projects. Its contributions address a wide range of issues related to food safety and environmental protection, significantly affecting the daily lives of Greek and Europeans citizens: food quality and safety, water resource conservation, organic farming, alternative energy sources, biotechnological applications in agriculture, information and communications technology, smart farming, robotics and artificial intelligence.
